Over and over again sometimes I find I ask myself, "Why am I doing this? Why am I giving all my time to a God I can't really see? This is crazy!" But who hasn't thought like this at one point in their life? It happens, I mean we are only humans. We are built with the thought that if I can see it, taste it, and touch it then it is real. But God doesn't just work within those "rules" humans have for themselves.
Faith is a big issue, I hear about it mostly everyday... "I wish I had more faith in God... I wish I could believe he is listening..." You know throughout my life people have tooken faith and made it into something huge and you have to work 30 years to achieve it. NO! Thats not faith, we use faith everday... you just may not know it. When I wake up every morning I have "faith" that my feet will hit that floor. When I go outside I have "faith" that I'm going to breathe in oxgyen and not die. Faith is knowing that something is there even when you can not see it or feel it. Here is a good example: Here in Kansas the wind blows alot, right? (By the way, whats up with Chicago being called the windy city?!?) Well, when the wind doesn't blow do you say to yourself... "the wind isn't blowing today, so it must not be there..." No! You know the wind is there even if it is not blowing. Thats like saying because it isn't snowing yet I dont' believe in snow, thats crazy! But that is exactly what we are saying about God.... "God must not be real since I can't feel him". He is there, even if you can't feel him all the time he is there. You want proof? Look at the stars sometime, look at the trees, look at yourself. God has put his finger-print on all he has created, the proof is their that he is real.
Just like when the wind blows hard enough it leaves the trees sideways, when you got saved; God blew away all of what you use to be and made you brand spankin' new! Praise God! We all go through valleys, we all have hurts, and I know we all come to a point in our lives were we question if God is even real. Well, just look at the impact he is making around you and in you! The handprint is there, the proof is every where! Just because you don't feel him all the time doesn't mean he isn't there.
John 20: 29 "Then Jesus Told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
