St. Matthew 10:28 says “And fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”.
Have you ever wondered why there are not more sermons preached on hell? It is probably because hell makes people feel uncomfortable. If there were more messages about hell, backsliders would think twice about leaving God. Nevertheless, hell is a real place. Some Christians feel that they could live ungodly and think it`s okay. God has called us to a standard that we must meet. Although we are not perfect, we must remember that God is watching us. He has angels who protect us but they watch us too.
It seems like our generation of Christians has lost their fear of the Lord and It doesn`t please God. Sadly, many Christians feel that they do not have to ask forgiveness of any sin committed or thought of just because they are saved. A God conscience and presence must be kept in our hearts at all times because he is before us daily and knows our every intention.
A Christian who drifts through salvation just hoping to escape hell is a risky Christian. Just because we are saved it does not mean that we are not accountable. The bible says to work out your own salvation. If our lives remain the same even after salvation, something is wrong. It is time for a checkup.
I pray that God puts a burning desire in us that we watch our lives and strongly convict us daily of any wrong doings and to live like the early church Christians lived in relation to him. There are a lot of people who know the name that`s above every name but their lives do not reflect it. The truth is that no matter how much some Christians disregard it hell is a real place. Amen.

Many people, claiming to be Christians, do not believe in hell.
And just as sadly, some churches do not teach God's words concerning hell! The Bible teaches us to abide by ALL the words of God. Acts 2:38 clearly defines the way we all must be saved from that very hell that many "church goers" do not believe in strongly enough to be saved.
