With our very human eyes
We see suffering and pain.
Often, things look ugly
And we see nothing but the rain.
With our very human minds,
Life seems so incomplete.
We tend to give up easily,
Ready to accept defeat.
With our very human hearts,
We feel depressed and sad.
We get impatient with our lot
And feel the world's gone mad.
For humans are very limited
In what we see and feel.
Our vision is short sighted
Until we see what God reveals.
God knows the entire picture
And He makes the pieces fit.
To form the puzzle completely,
We need His 'master kit'.
We cannot see the outlook
From our human point of view
So we need to trust our Father
To show us what to do.
When we focus on our Father
Things take on a different light.
The pieces all come together
As we live within His sight.

So true! The key word is FOCUS. Focus on God, and lean not in our own human understanding. Sis. Peggy, as usual, your gift of writing amazes me- a talent that's evidently coming from a Heavenly Source, and from a heart that's obedient to His calling.
Blessings, Gloria
Peggy, you have done it again! This is another outstanding poem. I love what you said here, ("For humans are very limited in what we see and feel. Our vision is short sighted until we see what God reveals.") These are words of great wisdom! I also love your ending, ("When we focus on our Father things take on a different light. The pieces all come together as we live within His sight. Very insightful and helpful words Peggy. Love, Sharon
