Jack rang the door bell two or three times, heard nothing and turned to pick up his bag. Jack heard a loud voice say " what do you want?". Jack turned and responded through the door " I'm a light bulb salesman and I noticed that your house was totally dark". The loud voice said " get off my property, I don't want anything". In a last ditch effort, Jack said " if you give me five minutes, I would love to show you what's in my bag". Jack did not get a response, so he put his bag on his shoulder to leave.
Jack turned to leave when he heard the door slightly open and the loud voice say " come in". Jack stumbled through the front door and into the foyer even though he could not see where he was going. Jack focused his eyes in the dark to see a dark form along the wall where the loud voice came from. " What's in your bag" said the voice. " Light bulbs" Jack said as he took one out of his bag." Why do you sell those for?" said the voice again. " I'm a Christian and I sell light bulbs because John 8:12 is my favorite bible passage".
