Have you ever felt such a passion for something
That you thought your heart would burst?
And you couldn’t get enough of it,
Like an insatiable thirst.
Have you ever desired to serve God so much
That you ask Him everyday,
To show you what He wants of you,
To please show you the way?
And then you felt His guidance
As it became more than just a desire.
As if someone had taken it
And set your heart on fire.
On fire for Jesus,
Who died at Calvary,
As he took on all of our sins
Yes, that includes both you and me.
So, if you don’t know or understand
The joy I feel inside,
Don’t criticize my love for Jesus,
Instead just give Him a try.
Please don’t make it a contest,
Please don’t make me choose
I would never want to hurt you,
But you'd be the one who'd lose.
