MY DESIRE TO BE HEALED

I have changed the name of the person for privacy and confidentiality. This is based on a true encounter in my church, related by a young lady who responded to an altar call in my church last year.
Erin has been an acne sufferer for 16 years. Many people who do not suffer from acne do not understand that this disorder has plagued the lives of millions. This problem is not only a physical distortion but also an emotional and mental agony for the majority. One Sunday, Erin heard this message from the pulpit of the pastor. The pastor said "Today, I would like to bring a message to those who have been suffering from a disease for many long years. The Holy Spirit convicts me to share this message about healing. There are those here who have literally given up all hope for healing because they have prayed and asked yet God chose not to heal their physical being."
Upon hearing that message, Erin knew immediately that God has heard her deepest desire. As she listened, she realised God was not telling her that He had come to heal her now. He has specifically instructed Erin to keep up the good faith and continue her prayer, yet pray for others suffering like herself. Much as she wanted to be healed of her acne and scars, she knew that God had an important purpose to be accomplished through her. And if He intended for her to be a faith healer, nothing and no one will stop His divine plan.
Erin's obedience has led her to empathise with those who are sick and in need of God's healing. She prays for them and has received many encouraging responses. There were instances of miracle healing, and testimonies of people who have been delivered. Erin wants to give all praise and glory to Jesus. Erin also wishes for Christians to pray for her with the hope that God is faithful and just, and will heal her in His perfect time.
