You apply; this application is never rejected.
Automatic and instant enlistment
But, it is just the beginning.
The beginning of a journey, race or battle
You must be trained
According to your gift, flair, ability
Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine
Now part of a great ‘Armed Forces’
Do you want to be truly armed?
You must indeed be trained
And Oh! The training might be tough
Or perhaps a lovely experience
You have choice to stay or quit
Better to stay than reapply
How many times shall we be ‘Born Again’?!
Just as we were born physically once
We are also born in the spirit once.
And you will know.
But we need God’s grace
And strength, for the race
Freely He gives
The Blood and the Word
The Teacher, the Helper, the Comforter.
Now a soldier of the Kingdom
Do you have the whole armour?
You need Truth and righteousness
You need Peace and faith
You need Salvation and The Word of God
You need to pray always.
Then you can really fight
The good fight of faith.
A soldier is trained to fight
To die or to live
But in this warfare
You don’t really die; believe it!
You live for Christ
You die to gain.
Indeed you live forever, eternally
So fight, like a soldier expectant of victory
Run like an athlete that expects to win the prize.
Like a General, you are a conqueror
But more than a General,
You are “more than a conqueror”
You touch lives
You love like Him
You have eternal life.
