Welcome to the first installment of Chat-A-Book: Assignment to White Planet 8069. This story is set far in the future. Many planets are occupied, though most of them are only livable within the special space stations that have been built. Planetary travel is common and relatively fast.
There is one government that rules all the planets, United Universe (UU). All religions are outlawed, except for Universalism, a religion of tolerance and personal idolatry, emphasizing the spirit within each person, plant, and animal.
Governmental Civilian Assignments are like jury duty. Citizens aged eighteen through fifty are randomly chosen out of a computer database and required to report for duty.
When group T19 reaches White Planet, they will eventually find that most all the occupants are secret Christians.

Assignment to White Planet 8069 First Installment
You have been randomly chosen to receive a Governmental Civilian Assignment. Your term of duty begins the morning of Monday, September 26, 197. Report to the Government Building 5000, room 502. You are in group T19. Failure to report for duty is punishable by fines or imprisonment.
Monday, Sept. 26, 197 IGNN--
A group of goverment conscripts known as T19 have been assembled for an investigative journey to White Planet. They are scheduled to leave Andrews Air Force Base at 10 PM, Eastern Earth Time today. Commander Randstat, supervisor for Earth Division Exploration Department (EDED) will be heading the mission, and says the GOV is extremely interested in discovering the reason for White Planet's early success as a new settlement.
"We've had little contact with the leaders of the group since habitation of White Planer ensued," said Randstat. "Reports from the nearest sector indicate that the exports from the planet are high, but imports are virtually absent." Randstat added that whatever they are doing, it must be working well.
Other GOV sources say there is evidence that the reason the planet has become extremely self-suffcient because of a new technology developed there. The hope is that Earth will be able to use this technology to strengthen their export/import ratio.
IGNN is launching our own investigative report on the White Planet and will be sending Damon Slayer, investigative reporter, nightly news anchor, and CE of production along with the T19 group.
