“I have been crucified with Christ; it is not longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God…”(Galatians 2:20).
God did not waste his time when he created us. He wanted to create us in his image, so it is only natural that there would be some bells and whistles thrown in, perhaps something along the lines of a variety of talents or, a funny sense of humor or, a charming personality or, a genus brain. Unfortunately, we were not around at the time of our creation to negotiate the deal as to which we would get, so after we are born it is really up to us to discover the hidden talents that our heavenly Father has uniquely bestowed on each of us. We must search our hearts and find out what our hidden gifts are, because these God given gifts are meant to be shared with mankind and if we did not try to figure them out and use them then we would be wasting our Father’s gift to us, and nothing would make him more disappointed. And contrary to what some might think, we all do have at least one gift; some of us are even lucky enough to have several gifts.
But, have you ever met someone, or maybe you are that person yourself, who can do something so extraordinary, so exquisite, so beautiful and we all know they should not be able to do it whether it is because of their physical or mental condition, their age or maybe language limitation/barrier? Or let’s take the less extreme. Have you ever met someone, or again maybe you are that person yourself, who suddenly feels inspired to do something which you’ve never done before in your entire life, and yet you do it with such passion and instinct, and it sounds refreshing to the ears and delightful to the eyes?
Well if you have witness such a thing then you my friend have witness God using one of his living instruments. Because you see, He knew us each by name while we were still in our mother’s womb. He also knows every hair on our head today. He gave us each our own talents. So he remembers who has what, and I guess when he feels like being playful he works his magic through one of us, his living instrument, and helps someone discovers a hidden talent they didn’t know they had.
When we uncover the talents and skills that we posses it’s like getting a present from the Lord to open. God gave us each unique and generous gifts. They are within ourselves and are waiting to be discovered. Do not be afraid to try something new that interests you. You never know, that feeling could be God’s hand directing you to your hidden talents. Give those urges a try you might just uncover your true purpose of existence or your true self. Go ahead what do you have to loose – nothing, because there’s always something good there. It’s yours to loose or to win. You’ll never know what you’ll uncover.
