This is what happens when loud music comes into my church.
Jimmyís New Song
Jimmy was so happy when he bought his own guitar
He couldnít wait to get it home, he started playing in the car
Jimmy loved to play music, but he never looked for fame
In fact, he only wanted to sing praises to Godís name
Jimmy called up some friends, who loved music as well
And they would all play songs together,
And the songs they sang were swell
Mark played the drums, and Tony played the Bass
They practiced all day long, and sang songs about Godís grace
The boys asked their pastor if they could play in church one night
They had a song to sing, and it took a month to write
But the work was all worth it, because they could tell
Everyone who heard the song that Jesus saved them all from hell
Soon they were in church, singing to the crowd
And the old women held their ears
because the drums were too loud
The old men clenched their fists and let out an angry moan
And halfway through the song the congregation went home
The three boys were crushed, and never played again
And people often speak of that Sunday way back when
Three boys tried to praise Jesus from the bottom of their heart
And while they did they watched as their church split apart
