Accept, O God, my prayers
As I accept your will -
You have called me by name
With your enduring voice.
Light is what coruscates
In the depth of my heart -
Your light that is radiant:
The colors of stained glass,
At the end of the nave,
In the form of a bird,
With the scent of incense,
Or the wings of angels,
With countenance divine,
Convivial and comely.
Speak to me softly, Lord,
And find me one with you -
In my silence and light
In the songs of my prayers.
