When burden I fear, fear becomes burden,
What controls is now by fear controlled;
When goal that gives rein to galloping will
Becomes ghoulish and faint in the dim mind,
I falter and my goal pales in the mist.
Diligence - such is devoted hard work -
Gives purpose to will, clarity to thought,
And strength to every testing endurance.
Distinctly I direct my desired deeds
Toward a defined objective - my course
Is decisive and with deliberate care;
I move forward until I accomplish
What is near at hand. Hard working is joy,
And its fulfillment its lightest burden.
