“So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am
suffering for you, which is your glory” (Ephesians 3:13).
Nothing good is ever easy; it wouldn’t be so good if it were. Healing is just this. When we are alone at depression’s mercy, we say we want to heal. Heal not just our beaten body, but heal also our tattered mind and tortured soul. And to want it is a good and necessary first step, but to achieve it is to travel a long journey’s miles. Yet, how is it that we become healed? And who is it that heals us? Is it doctors from all trades? No. No one earthly doctor can heal a person’s body, mind and soul; he might come close, but two out of three is still not all. Well surely, it is not ‘father Time’ who such as the saying claims, “… [time] will heal all wounds…” Anyone who is a human being that has been hurt before can testify false to this. Sadly, all that ‘father Time’ can do is to give you some distance so you’ll forget and a bandage to cover over the opened wound.
Complete true healing can only come from our Father in heaven. For with the touch of His blessing grace, He can bring wellness to all bodies, spirits and minds. We only need to reach out and seek it. Nothing results from apathy…. And the Lord will hear us; “… [He] is close to everyone who prays to him, to all who truly pray to him,” (Psalm 145:18).
