Where is God

Where is God?

It is my hope that only the unsaved shall ask such a question. For we that have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb, who is Jesus Christ, who is the redeemer of those who choose God, who sits at the right hand of God and maketh intercession for us, that is he prays on our behalf. For we belong to him and he belongs to us, the Lord said that he would never leave us nor forsake us, so where is God?

He dwells in the hearts and minds of those who love him. He dwells in the hearts and minds of those who seek him. Those who seek and find him shall dwell in his tabernacle forever. They shall be protected from the pestilence. They shall be protected from the destruction. They shall be spared and saved from death. For as the angels deliver wrath to the wicked, there is another host of angels that spreads their wings to cover those that are close to God. He will even prove himself mighty to those who cry out to him from within the destruction.

“He went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles 15:2 NIV

By our choices, we determine which side of God we will see. For God is a loving God, love is God and God is love and it is not possible to love without God for true love can only be seen in God. The God of heaven and God of earth, who created man, beast, seed and harvest, rain and snow, who shows us mercy each day. For it is by his grace that we awake each day. It is by his grace that we are breathing right now. It is by his grace that we have made it thus far. It is by his grace that we are saved and redeemed by the power of the Lord. This same power lives in us through Jesus Christ.

“No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.” 1 John 4:12-13 NIV

Our God sits high and looks low. He sits in the throne room surrounded by angels who proclaim his holiness day and night. Herein lies the secret of how to get close to God. Do as the angels do that cry, “Holy!” to him day and night. Worship him in spirit and in truth! Proclaim his holiness! Proclaim his greatness! Proclaim his majesty! Recognize him as God and he will recognize you as sons and daughters, heirs of the kingdom of God. He is our God if we have chosen him and he opens up the heavens to pour out his glory upon us. He opens up his ears to hear our cries made unto him. He raises his right hand to supply all of our needs and to grant the desires of our hearts. But he can only dwell in a pure heart, a heart of love and not a heart of stone. A heart of wickedness will crave wickedness, but a heart of righteousness will desire things that are right and are not an abomination unto the Lord. But we must remember that his ways are mystical and mysterious. He created time and he rules over time. He is majesty and our minds cannot conceive of this greatness and this is why we must trust him at all times through all things, but we must understand the law of the spirit.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV

The Bible teaches us that we shall reap what we sow and he will even cause the sins of the fathers to be felt by future generations. So for every action, there is a reaction. For every deed there is a seed planted that will come to harvest, good or bad. If planted in righteousness then goodness shall spring forth. If the seed is planted in wickedness then wrath shall spring forth. For evil beget evil, but righteousness begets goodness.

“You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Exodus 20: 5-6 NIV

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7

We must not be ignorant concerning these things! Where is God? He is in the holy place. He is in the hearts of those who love him. He is watching over those who seek him. He is providing for those who trust him. He is fighting for those who need him, who are the meek and humble at heart. You find God when you find your heart in the right place. When you receive Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit lives within you, you shall never have to ask, “Where is God?” If you do not know where he is then you have lost sight of him, but he has not lost sight of you.

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5 NIV

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” Romans 5:1-6 NIV
