In the time of Jesus, there was another man with the same name. This other Jesus wasn't as kind as our Jesus, because he was a murderer and insurrectionist. This man's name was Barabbas. He was a prisoner of the Roman Proculator, Pontius Pilate. When he had both men brought before the angry mob, Pilate asked them, " Whom shall I release to you? Jesus the Christ or Barabbas?" The mob shouted " Release Barabbas." "What shall I do with Jesus the Christ?", asked Pilate. The mob shouted, "Crucify him!" The decision had been made. The people chose Barabbas to go free. While Jesus the Christ was crucified on the cross. Even today we must choose who we want. Will we choose Jesus Barabbas, which represents worldly things, that will rust and decay or will we choose Jesus the Christ, who represents righteouness and heavenly things? There is a choice to be made, which Jesus will you choose?
