"Live wisely among those who are not Christians, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversations be gracious and effective so that you will have the right answer for everyone." Col. 4:5-6
Christian
where have you gone?
How far have you
strayed from the path?
Let us not confuse our journey
with a free ride to heaven
Let us not close ourselves up
in our little churches
and pray for the poor
Step outside your four walls,
your comfort zone,
And take the hand
of the hurting
feed the beggar
bless a stranger
Clothe yourself
in His righteous ways
Let's prove them all wrong,
Christian
The Lord loves that man
on the corner
or that woman
by the dumpster
just as much as
He loves you
Can you share the love
of Christ?
Can you be a living
testimony
of what Christ can do
to another's heart?
If you don't have anything
special
or
extraordinary
Why would they
want to hear you?
Why would they care?
Rip free
from your pharisee robes
and mingle
with a hurting world

I write to challenge myself, always. It is so easy to fall into that lulling groove and be content....but that is not what our God needs right now. The harvest is ripe. From hurt and pain, natural disaster, worldly and emotional losses. We may not have planted the seed, but it is our job to tend to the ripe harvest that is eager to be picked and savored by our Lord. Eyes open and a willing heart. That is all He needs. He does the rest. Amen for that. God bless!
