Dark side of heaven

Is there a place in heaven
Where I can hide?
A spot where love and happiness
Do not abide?
I want peace and rest
For a little while,
From all the happy people
That demand I smile.
Truth and simplicity
I am a friend,
But this frown of mine
Seems to descend
And every sign shows
I offend
The joyous folks
With witty jokes.
With their words of encouragement
I do not change,
Protecting through discouragement
Praying me out of range,
They prove me to be leaven
With sadness I see,
In their heaven
There is no room for me.

You are probably showing how you truly feel when others might appear happy when they are not. Your feelings come through strongly in this poem and there is a bright place in heaven where you won't need to hide.
