Father as I call upon you,
Please hear the sound of my weak voice,
Lord forgive us of our sins and short comings,
Lord thank you for all the blessings that we have received,
Thank you for the blessings that we are going to receive as well.
As I call on your name Father I pray for those,
That are not saved, those that have not been introduced to you,
Lord most of all I just want to pray for saving grace,
Lord save my sisters and brothers all over the nation,
Lord I pray for your table to be filled.
I know sometimes we make you angry,
When we say and do things that we shouldn’t,
Lord I know we don’t bow the way we should,
We sometimes only praise you when we are in the mood,
Lord I don’t believe that those that don’t worship you, understand,
They don’t know what they are missing,
You’re so gracious and so kind,
If it were not for you I would have already lost my mind,
Lord those that read your word, and don’t get an understanding,
Lord please reach into their minds and hearts,
Lead them and guide them,
Some of us are so calloused until it’s not funny,
We seem to think we have it all worked out,
I know those type of people bound to have some doubt,
Without you, they can’t make it through.
Lord I wish we could all just bow down to you,
Praise your name as one,
Bow down before you,
And accept you, for who you are,
The king of kings and lord of lords,
You’re a great redeemer and savior.
You’re the great I am, your Emmanuel,
You’re the best friend any one could have,
You’re a great listener, a guider,
Most of all your our provider.
Our nation is so far gone,
I just hope they know your watching us from the throne,
Father you see every move we make,
Every breath we take and you control every step we make
Lord I thank you for your grace,
An unmerciful favor, nothing that you do, do we deserve,
But through your love and mercy,
You give us another chance,
Second chances we have all used up,
Still it appears you still have trust,
You give a chance because I believe you say,
They can make it, Father give them one more chance,
I thank you for dying on the cross,
Shedding your innocent blood,
For a people that you knew wouldn’t appreciate it,
But you did it for me,
For all of us individually,
I am grateful that you loved me so much.
Took upon sins that you would never do,
To your Father you were being true,
I know it had to be you,
Me are anyone else would have went through.
My nation is so corrupt, so torn and so broken,
They do things that they know your not pleased,
They make laws to please the people,
There is so much stealing and killing,
Lord is anybody truly willing?
To acknowledge what you have to offer,
To be willing to say I am going through,
No matter what the world may do.
Lord please forgive us we know not what we do,
Sometimes we act so blind,
Lord many of us are going to be left behind,
Why can’t we all just turn to you?
Repent of our sins and be through,
You don’t require much,
All you want us to do is believe in you,
Have faith, and know exactly who you are,
Bless our nation Father; let them call on you,
You’re the only one that will see them through. ©
