What's in a day...that makes it worth the living,
Memoirs of that you've known, which pleasure earned?
Or is it pain from former hurts and failures,
Perhaps the value of aome lesson learned?
In living...there is much for one to cherish,
But many things one needs to set aside;
What's in a day that's constant and worth knowing
Is...that of God...that in the heart abides.
What's in a day...that lasts through all the ages
That comforts when the soul may lose its way,
When things of Earth seem empty...unfulfilling
And there's no joy to see another day?
'Tis...that of God...which holds it all together;
That stands the test of time in all our years,
It's always there, the heart, to heal and strengthen
And take away our daily doubts and fears.
What's in a day...that we can bring to being
To bring us solace when we're growing old;
That dampens thoughts eternal and foreboding,
And threatens all the treasure we may hold?
It's...that of God...that makes the ONLY difference,
And...that of God...that lasts when all is gone,
And...that of God will lead across the River...
What's in a day? We're never left alone!
