As I sat listening to a beautiful piece of music, a pair of questions began to tickle my brain. If colors had musical notes or instruments to match them, what would they be? If musical instruments were given colors (the sounds, not the instruments themselves), what would they be. For example, I think sea-blue would have to be a tinwhistle. They are both deep, in a poetic sense, and haunting. Of corse, these matches can only be taken so far, but I thaught the concepts interesting.
Lest this small piece of writing be thaught completely fruteless and/or foolish, consider the following: When writing, a color or scene can be described using the metaphore or simile of a soun or viseversad. For example, one can write, “The soft blue of her eyes was like the sweet notes of a flute when it is played slowly and gently.” Besides the practical uses of the mental exercise required by these two questions, I was curious to see what people would say when asked them. Therefor, I invite anyone who is interested to post there answers on the comments page. Also, I would ask anyone who is interested in taking the challenge not to read any other comments that might have been posted before answering. I would like the answers to be as individual as they can. Please forgive my journey in to fanciful thinking, but there is no harm in a little brain tickling now and then. May God bless you all and keep you well.

Unusual! I guess my instrument would be a piano and the colour? I cheat here! It would have to be described as colours of the rainbow due to it's versatility! Blue and moody, red and vibrant, pink and soft, green and mean, orange and tangible, yellow and bright, purple and mysterious!
Interesting article in that it was like a leading question.
