Well I am in my now familiar position on the riverbank.
I wait expectantly for father to show me something new and as always he does not disappoint me.
From the corner of my eye I see a flash of something dark, big and at the top of the tree canopy.
It only appeared for a second or two.
Not long enough to really see more than a glimpse of it.
My mind suggested a bat or small bird, but it was gone before I could determine which.
Puzzled I continue to stare upwards.
A minute or so later it reappears lower down in the foliage.
This time I can see it more clearly. Shape and colour can now be seen.
Itís turned out to be a beautiful Cairns bird wing butterfly.
Even its movements appear different this time.
I am amazed I didnít see it for what it really was the first time.
This is when father speaks to me.
ď My child That is what itís like with life, it all comes down to your view of things at the time
Sometimes you can get a distorted viewpoint about yourself, others, situations, problems or even me.
What you see is determined by where you look at it from.
If you want to see things as they really are, you need to get a much closer look.
Not from a distance.
For as you have seen things appear different with distance.Ē
So I am determined now to try and get godís view of things not my own distorted image.
John 8:32 ďThen you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.Ē
