When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood before the king,
Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Let me ask you this one thing.”
Who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Who is that God for whom you now so strongly stand?”
They answered him with words so careful and so wise:
“Our God is the Creator of the earth and of the skies.
He is able to deliver us, for that we have been told,
But even if He doesn’t we won’t bow to your idol of gold.”
The king was very outraged, and his anger and fury grew.
“I hope that, for your sakes, your God really cares about you.”
He then had them thrown into the midst of the burning fire
And was laughing quite victoriously when he heard someone say, “Sire.”
He looked into the fiery furnace and was fully expecting to see
The burning, smoldering remains of the former rebellious three.
But to his great surprise, instead, he saw four men in the flames.
They were not bound. They were not hurt. Was this some sort of game?
While watching those four men as in the fiery coals they trod,
The king noticed that the fourth man was like the Son of God.
He quickly commanded they be brought out and questioned of this event,
And when they came out of the fire, their clothes didn’t even have a scent.
The king was very astonished, so he asked the men again,
“Who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?”
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king and said,
“The God who delivered us out is the only God who can.”
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
