Birth:
In the mind of God before
Leaving for earth’s door.
Entry Port and point to earth.
Intricately woven like a tapestry.
Shaped, moulded, and fashioned
For a divine purpose.
Unique, distinguished among billions.
Made in the image of God
For a time in history,
Not an accident
But a predetermined incident.
A loan to my parents
To nurture and admonish in His way.
Introduction to the world.
Born for the purpose of God.
Born to please and pleasure God.
Born as a treasure to God.
Born as an investment of God.
Born to win and not for the bin.
Born to give glory to the Holy.
Born to make a difference.
Born to make a contribution.
Born to leave a legacy for eternity.
Earth:
A stage for you and I, actors.
A place for God to work in us, as a Sculptor.
Residence brief, temporary,
A foreign country
We’re, aliens, strangers, sojourners visitors,
Travellers, foreigners, ambassadors
.A preschool for pupils
A warm up before the race.
Starter, appetiser before the main course.
A work-out before the real game.
A dress rehearsal before the play
Living in a tent, looking forward to the house
Like a fish out of water.
A place to choose whom you serve
Where to make a choice decision.
A matter of life or death.
A time to make your peace with the Lord,
And have the peace of God
A place of great opportunity,
To make impact for eternity.
A place for training for reigning.
A gym for training for eternity fitness.
A shadow-boxing ring before the real battle.
Earth is a shadow, transient.
Here for the moment.
Not permanent.
Will pass away,
One faithful day.
I am just passing through
Must live with eternity in view
Shun worldly values;
Embrace eternal values
Temporary, substandard haven
Destined for blissful, peaceful, beautiful heaven,
Our country and eternal home,
The final destination.
A citizen of heaven.
Death:
The last enemy.
The cold, grim reaper.
Life’s journey’s end.
A Time to leave earth
To leave for eternity.
‘The wheel is broken.’
‘The golden bowl is broken.’
‘The water pitcher is shattered at the fountain.’
‘The pulley is shattered at the well.
Entering eternity and immortality.
Moving home from tent to an eternal house.
Not a demotion but a promotion.
’Time to enter the presence of God,
Or a time to face His rod.
Freedom from limitation.
Moving from the temporal to the eternal.
The spirit returns to the Giver-God.
Dust returns to dust,
And ashes to ashes.
The breath returns to the Lord of the whole earth.
Inevitable unless Jesus comes.
The beginning of the real story.
An exit to an entry.
‘ A door to eternity.’
Time for reward for faithfulness on earth.
Time for unbroken fellowship with God
Or a time for separation for damnation.
The end of one life, and the beginning of another.
Sadness and more sadness for some
Sadness and joy for others
Reunion with loved ones who believed
Release from pain, tears and suffering.
No need to fear if you know and love Him
Who holds the keys of death and hell.
Do you have your ticket?
Is your name in the Book of Life?
Do you know the Way, the Truth and the Life?
Do you have your passport to heaven?
Is heaven your home?
Have made you reservation,
Acknowledging the Captain of Salvation?
