That Jesus loved you
In spite of who you were and what you’d done.
I wanted to say ...
That eternal life could be yours
If you just trust Him and put your life in His.
But I didn’t.
I was waiting for the right moment;
The right words, the right place, the right time.
Then I woke up this morning,
And you were gone.
Just like that.
And these unsaid words hang like thunderclouds in my heart
Lightning flashes of regret
Emphasising what should have been.
There were others that I wanted to tell.
Yesterday.
And just so you know
I’ve found the right moment;
The right words, the right place, the right time
I’ll tell them
Today.
