Some people are placed in our lives for a season,
The season could be an eternity we will never know,
Some are heaven sent, Angels in disguise,
Spending time with you just for a while.
Some people are placed in our lives to teach us goals,
Others may just obtain that assistant role,
Some we fall in love with for life,
Others just aren’t so nice.
Just for a season it makes you wonder,
Will it be for a lifetime, are just moment we don’t know,
We hope and pray that it was Jesus that sent them our way,
For a season your love of your life,
Whether it be your husband are wife,
Their memories will forever be there,
Even when triumphs didn’t seem fare.
For the season you and the person were together,
There were so many things you had to share,
You went through so much together,
You watched the children grow,
You loved him are her with all your soul,
There was just something about him,
That caused you to unfold.
For a season that person belonged to you,
You were together no matter what you had to do,
When he or she enters the room,
A light shined you just found the right frame of mind,
Roses on the bedside table,
And a card when the money wasn’t stable,
Sometimes just breakfast brought to bed,
Made little hearts float in your head,
Sometimes a phone call after a long day,
Sometimes you would just sit together and pray.
Everyday with your mate, was another chance to be free,
And thank God for the season that you share,
It means the world to you just having your soul mate there.
For a season God will place that special friend in your life,
One you can tell all your secrets to,
One that don’t mind telling you the truth,
You will know that friend when something’s not right,
They don’t fuss and put up a fight.
A true friend will let you cry on their shoulder,
Like a real sister are brother,
Your deepest secrets you often share,
Late night talks when you can’t sleep,
This type of friend you always want to keep.
The seasons sometimes must change,
People start to fade away,
They either move, die or just fade like a dream,
This is when your season is up,
Things start to change and you depart,
Ending seasons will sometimes leave emptiness in your heart.
No matter how long the season, it will always seem short.
