Youth Shining For Jesus
In today’s society I see more children running for the Lord,
More now than ever before,
I see families bringing their children to worship services,
When they want let them go anywhere else,
I see the Holy Spirit living within you,
More now than ever before,
I never dreamed I would see a thirteen-year-old child prays the lord the way some of you do,
And I am so glad about it,
I am glad to know that the youth of today,
Don’t mind stepping out on faith,
I’m glad to know that they don’t mind what the elders say,
I’m glad to know that some day this generation will lead the way.
Shining for Jesus being a youth is not hard to do,
You have others that have been here longer than you,
You have those that just don’t want to change,
You have those who want to stay in the same mode,
You have those that don’t know the new age stuff,
And I know that must make it tough,
But no matter what you go through,
Remember its Jesus working through you,
Only the things you do for Christ will last,
Don’t worry about those who want to live in the past,
If you don’t shine for Jesus now you want do it later,
It’s better to grow up and know,
Than to die and not,
I see youth singing and praising the Lord in dance,
It’s okay I appreciate it all,
Whatever you do make sure you do it,
For the love of Christ and you will win your friends to,
Make sure that you work at it,
Put your heart in it,
You don’t want anyone to be left behind,
If you want to dance and it’s for Jesus dance your heart out,
If you want to sing and sing for Jesus “Sang your heart out”.
Everything you do magnify the Lord,
When you look out there and you see frowns,
Are people that turn around in their seat,
Don’t let it bother you,
Don’t let them change you,
Don’t let them intimidate you,
Satan is looking at you to,
He’s trying to make you feel bad,
Trying to make you feel like your doing something wrong,
We all should have a light,
But some of ours went out a long time ago,
We know longer shine and we don’t want anyone else to shine.
Sometimes our wicks grow rusty and dusty,
Instead of us brushing it off and firing it up again,
We choose to let it go completely out,
We choose to take a lighter route,
Because we tend to get to lazy to work at it,
We want somebody else to light our paths,
These are the ones that will be left behind,
Because they are not shining it was a choice that they made,
The way they behaved,
Now they are not only in the shade,
But their light went out,
Now they are in the dark,
Just a little prayer would cause a spark,
But they are to contrary to do it,
Keep shining keep your heads high,
And steadfast only the things you do for Christ will last.
