There’s one friend I know, who heeds to my pleas,
Throughout the whole world and even in heaven;
Who bought me with a special price of his precious blood.
He’s a real friend indeed even when I’m in need.
He came on earth out of love for me.
I was a sinner and was lost, but he did not eliminate me.
He dined with me and we ate together at my house,
As he taught me the way to the only salvation and I heeded.
He died on the cross for my transgressions though he was sinless,
So that mine wretched life could be brought back to God.
It is an honour to be part of his family and I’m pleased.
How glad my soul is to receive such a lifetime treasure?
Though he went up I know he’s watching over me always,
Not to stumble upon a block, on my way of salivation.
He loves me and he sent his colleague to partner me.
Mr. Holy Spirit being he to lead me in all the truth.
His name is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, I salute him.
He’s up there, but I’ve got his strong promises inside me,
That he shall one day come back to take me home to live together.
What a nice friend I have in Jesus Christ, who loves me.
