THE LOVE OF GOD

In the beginning,
God and man had a good bond.
Sin came and bridged the two apart.
The former had mercy and sent his only son,
To join the massive gap, hence bringing reconciliation.

What a lovely God we have?
That after all the sins we committed in his face,
And after we had broken his rules and laws,
He gave his son to die for our sins on the cross,
So that we may be incorporated into Godís heart again.

Many were our sins, overflowing over the brim.
We had to suffer greatly for them ourselves,
But God was lenient enough to give us a second chance.
The merciful blood of Jesus cleansed and glued us to God.
What an opportunity to become children of God again?

Imagine,
That even Jesus was his only begotten son,
No hesitation was found in Godís heart either.
Out of love for the world he allowed the son,
To die on the cross for you and me;
What great love is this? Iím shocked.
