He heals the broken in heart, And binds up their wounds. (Psalms 147:3).
Let us get some things straight.
Depression Self afflicted pain
Self hate Thoughts of suicide
Self doubt
Thoughts of low self esteem or low self worth
Negative words of: Ill never Im not able
...Im not lucky enough Im no good ...etc.
These things and others like them are NOT that of God! Our heavenly Father did not create us with those elements of darkness as a part of our being. God made us in His image, perhaps not in physical looks, but in spiritual form. Therefore, because there is no darkness in God, there could not have been original darkness in us. The elements listed above and all others like them are ONLY that of the prince of darkness the evil one. If you are currently or ever find yourself in the future feeling any of those things because hardship is facing you, do not let the evil one fool you into thinking those thoughts and feelings are your thoughts and feelings, or that they are a part of you and it can not be rid of. Do not let him fool you into thinking you were born with a dark cloud over you and darkness in you. On the contrary, you ARE a CHILD of the LIGHT. Your body and soul is good and was made holy when you were baptized into the kingdom of your heavenly Father. The evil one would love to do nothing else but fool you of all these things. And because he is a scared and weak being at heart, he dares not to trouble us when we are strong and full of Christ in body, mind and spirit. (Have you ever noticed that you do not have those negative thoughts and feelings when your health is well?) Instead, he waits until we are ill in body, weak in mind and yielding in spirit to tack us. Therefore, when you find yourself in weakness, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, remember these words:
Saint Paul when we are at our weakest, that is when the LORD is at His strongest.
The poem of Footsteps demonstrates: - When the man saw only one set of footsteps at periods in the sand (ones which were a little deeper and heavier in imprint he questioned the Lord. The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
1 Corinthians 1:25 - For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's stren gth.
2 Corinthians 12:10 - That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 13:9 - We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is for your perfection.
Thus, do not be afraid ever. With God on your side, who dares to be against you? For you are a child of the LIGHT, and therefore, the LIGHT lives in you, and shines through you for all to see.
