The hat I wear is tattered and worn,
no fancy feathers or veils adorn.
The color is black as you can see,
it doesn't paint a good picture of me.
You only see the outward wear,
not what lives within to share.
That's why I've decided it's wise,
not to judge what you see on the outside.
A cover can deceive the real thing,
make us turn from maybe, "The King."
Think before you point a finger,
a touch from him/her may forever linger.
