My toddler church in Tinsel Land
Licks its sucker and fills its hands
Boasts all day that it is blessed
Clutches its toys to its insular breast
Shuts Me out and loves Me less.
Showmen shine on Prey TV
Now’s your chance to give to me
Money junkies with diamond hands
Sign up to God’s Blessing Plan
You’re worth more than the common man.
Give your best until it hurts
Show God what your faith is worth
Don’t be outside looking in
Being poor is the only sin
And poor they’ll be when I come again.
What’s for Me in your pretty pile of toys?
I’ll say to My selfish girls and boys
Did you clothe the naked, feed the poor
Or give to some fool who kept wanting more?
Which Jesus did you serve as Lord?
A Man with nowhere to lay His head
Who came to be the Living Bread
Or A VIP in designer gear
Who preaches things you want to hear
So you’ll dig down deep out of greed or fear?
Why did you buy their candy-coated lies?
I’ll ask the blind who were mesmerized
By a plastic puppet who cracked bad jokes
And got the greedy in financial holes
All their gold’s gone up in smoke.
Depart from me, I’ll say to such snakes
For all you did was take, take take
I’ve had to bind up many wounds
Inflicted by the likes of you
Upon the seekers of the truth.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
