A Whisper From Home

Many years I travelled all alone.
Thought I could make it on my own
Then the Lord came to me,
By His grace He set me free,
Then He took me by my hand
Showed me a glimpse of gloryland
Now, I am just a whisper from home.

Just a whisper from home
Just a whisper from home
This old world, I will never more roam
Since He called me by my name
My life is no longer the same
For, you see, I am just a whisper from home.

I am waiting for the day
When I hear my Savior say.
"Welcome in, my child, a crown you've won
Come and sit here by me
Now your place through eternity
For I have whispered, and, now, you are home."
