Crafting Fun for Everyone
While driving yesterday, I noticed a neighbor had taken down their autumn decorations and put up Christmas lights. Wow! Before we know it, 2002 will be upon us. I thought it might be time to start featuring some helpful holiday sites ahead of time. (Since we all know the next 2 months will fly right by us.)
Many parents purchase teacher gifts or do gift exchanges with both adults and children. Maybe you would like to save some money this year or just try something different. The Crafters Community website has many really nice gift ideas that even the most inexperienced crafter could make.
The Crafters Forum pages feature many helpful posts including: interior decorating, wood working, needlework, frugal crafting, teachers (for crafting with groups), and more. More craft websites are mentioned here too.
I found one that directed me to www.craftycollege.com/webofangels that has
40 free angel craft ideas alone. And that was just one site; there are many more “word of mouth” link recommendations. They are generous with their links to other craft sites so if you didn’t find the right craft idea here try their Top 100 Craft Sites link.
Another option is the Crafty Ideas Catalogue and there you will find mega great craft suggestions. Learn how to make bubble bath, potpourri items
and even joke crafts -for the good humored. Some crafts using recycled items include: a coffee can jack-o-lantern and knick-knack frames. (One thing
that disappointed me was there were no pictures here to see how the finished item should look.) Don’t let that stop you from trying one of these projects though. Remember, they are SUPPOSED to look homemade. Of course you can always say your 3 year old made it… Until next time.
