Early morning the alarm went on,
Hurriedly I arose as the sun above shown.
Drearily my body moved on and on,
following the call to work, I continued on.
A quick goodbye to my mom I said,
Waiting not for a farewell repaid.
On I go with work on my mind,
Blindly I trolled to the place I work.
At work I see my friends and not,
My day greeted with smiles and snobs.
Busy I was as the hours passed by,
Then it was time to go, and to work I said bye.
At home I arrived done and tired,
Longing for the time I will be retired.
Sad I was, being tired with my work,
This work, however, gives meaning to my 'spoon and fork'.
So I thank you Lord, for this work of mine,
I may be tired now, but then I'll be fine.
