I was so surprised to walk out and see, gathered at the corner of the house, all the plants we had moved, all set in a group, having been totally ignored for these past months as we renovate from inside out.
And there in the middle was the large pot that held what I thought had just been an annual, but there it was, in full glorious bloom, it's buds like balloons, the flowers like blue stars in the sunlight.
It made me think that even though the days pass when I do not get to everything, but behind the scenes, God is always at work, bringing forth beauty that just makes your heart sing.
I think of our love, the strong bond that holds us two, and know that God is always at work there, too - for even when I'm busy with all the details of life, behind the scenes, ever growing and changing, is my love for you.
If we are off on separate errands, then come home again, there is still that little 'jolt' of love when I see, I'm home again, and there you are, and life is just as it should be.
All the little chores that seem to fill the hours can still be done with joy in my heart, for all of these little things are pieces of my love, and they all play a part.
Like rain upon that plant that fell when I did not see, and the flowers that came forth and the plant showed its beauty, becoming the thing that it was meant to be...and it mattered not at all how many people saw those blooms, it was not there to show off for others to see, it simply was following the path that it was on, God set it in motion, and then He set it free.
The flower of our love is like that lovely little plant, that blooms even when we are apart, for God set our love in motion, and it will never stop, the blooms are really living in our hearts.
So I look forward to turning each corner to see what new lies ahead, for I know that wrapped up in our love, it will be a joy no matter where we are led.
The blooms of love are in our hearts, and always there to pick and give anew, a brand new bouquet of love each day that I gather up and give to you.
That was beautifully written. I liked how you enter-played a little poetry inspiration with your article too. We don't often realize how the Lord continually keeps things going, round the clock for us. God bless, littlelight
