Question, do you dare to be a one that's different
will you tread where others won't go
If you read your bible then you will surly see
that there were those who did so
Though many times they had to face oppositions
and had to be out there all alone
For what they had to do, went against the crowd
but they knew they were not their own
Their words at times even shook great kings
and with others it did leave a mark
Seeing God had a plan, fashioned by his hands
and so it did ignite a fews sparks
No one knows where God will take them
for it's not always known ahead
And sometimes they are, the last one to know
so they rely on faith instead
Now just be honest are you up to the challenge
are you ready to take this flight
Will you allow your pen to write the message
or let it lay quiet and out of sight
Will you let God take your hands and heart
and use it in what he wants to say
For it's by his spirit we move and have our being
and he alone knows the way
Now this does not make one more than others
but it does take an obedient heart
And so anyone can be that willing vessel
when they allow to be set apart
This stand we take is not a glamorous one
There are no praise's in this way
if anything, it brings more afflictions
that will come on any giving day
The pen that write with a different drumbeat
must know who holds the ink
And not to be afraid of what others may say
or even in what they may think
David wrote many Psalms while in his troubles
but, God did know his heart
So tell me how much more, does he not know us
when we had our first start
Do you believe you were called to write his words
are you only doing it, just for fun
Is there an unction going through your spirit
is it now over, as it had begun
God can wake us up in the midnight hours
my bathroom is mostly where we meet
And everyone that knows do have a special place
and can agree that it is so sweet
We don't always know what we're going to write
then there are other times that we do
But even if it's so, just let it flow and flow
don't let the pen say I'm through
Now the time is at hand we must take a stand
no more sugar-coating can we afford to do
For the Lord is on his way back, and that's a fact
let every man be a liar, but let God be true
So a pen like this will never stop writing
it will be waiting for the next fill
Being directed by God, the chief of his scribes
who were called to do his will

Mary, I throuroughly enjoyed reading the written poem. Wow! My sentiments almost exactly. The Lord is our driving inspiration, whether we shall speak or write. amen! God bless, littlelight
I agree with you Mary, my pen often writes with a different beat, but as long as it is in beat with our Lord, that is all that matters! It is very scary going out there with pen sometimes, but He will give the courage, if we will be obedient. Love, Sharon
