RECLAIMING OUR SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE

As the Body of Christ, we desperately need to see this world through the eyes of Jesus. Psalm 24:1 proclaims that “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” We need to see the truth in this verse and begin to take back the territory that belongs to the Kingdom of God.

You see, when Jesus redeemed mankind by shedding His blood on the cross, He bought back everything that was rightfully His to begin with. The price was paid for every soul to return to Him.

Yet it doesn’t take long to see that not everything and everyone is living in line with God’s purposes. This is where we as His people come in. We are to proclaim (the Kingdom) to ‘reclaim’ all that is lost and rightfully belongs to the Lord. We need revelation of this truth that the earth and everything and everyone in it, belongs to Him.

When you begin to see what really belongs to you, you will go after it with fervency until you have attained it. Take healing, for example. Many within the Body of Christ do not realize, as the Bible teaches, that “healing is the children’s bread.” In other words, it belongs to us and we need to be claiming it for ourselves as His sons and daughters.

Yet, until you have this revelation, you will not see it; you may even die prematurely because of a lack of understanding that healing is part of your salvation package. We will not seek after that which we are ignorant of.

The same holds true where our nation, our province and our local communities are concerned. If we don’t realize that they belong to the Lord already – not just in the sweet by and by – we will not go after what rightfully is ours.

Psalm 2:8 puts it this way “Ask of Me and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession.”

Notice the key word here is “ask.” Are we asking the Lord for our nation? Many believers today find it hard to ask the Lord for their daily needs, let alone a whole nation! Yet not only does God want us to, He expects us to as followers of Jesus Christ.

Everywhere Jesus walked when He lived on this earth, He went proclaiming the Kingdom of God and reclaiming that which was lost and had been stolen. The enemy has no legal right to rule on this earth, yet because the Church has not moved out in the authority that has been given to her, he has been able to implement his plan. He is a strategist and a master of manipulation and deception.

Yet perhaps his greatest deception has been that of convincing the Church that she has no power! He’s been successful in lulling the Body of Christ into indifference and apathy; passively going through the motions of every day life. Therefore, with this lethargic mindset, the Church has not been able to withstand his attacks and take the Kingdom back for God’s purposes.

It’s time for the Church of Jesus Christ to stand. It’s time we reclaim everything God has promised us for His purposes. The enemy has had his way and his say long enough. Saints of God –arise! Our spiritual inheritance awaits us and is ours for the taking. Will you heed His call, put on your armour and fight for what is yours?

The Holy Spirit of the Lord hath spoken here! How wonderfully true it is, for us to know what is rightfully ours! He says so, and who shall contend with Him? Bless you and yours, and keep letting the spirit guide your words! Amen and Amen!
