As I sit on top of my prayer rock
I watch the wispy clouds float by
Mosquitoes lazily buzz around my head
A vast field of timothy grass before me
A wooded, curvey trail leading home behind me.
It seems God’s love is closing in on me
I feel His tender mercies flood my heart
His grace is ever by my side, forgiveness always here
God’s power is continually displayed in my life
And His perfect joy and peace are taking rule of my life.

Yea, a lot can be learned looking at it
Vast, luscious fields, they don’t compare to God’s love
The fiery scarlet horizon, un-compared to His forgiveness
But let us learn to gaze on God’s face, not only nature’s face.
For God’s face is far more beautiful than even His nature
His eyes burn with deeper fire than the sun
His heart for His children, softer than rose petals
His protecting right arm, stronger than an oak
His countenance glows more than the full moon.
This awesome Creator who made all the galaxies
Who made all the lakes, volcanoes, and waterfalls
He loved you and me, yes, us mere, human beings
Because of His loving sacrifice we can live forever
And be with Him in eternity! What an awesome God!
