"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our frame; he is mindful that we are but dust." Psalm 103:12-14
Have you ever thought of how far east is from the west? It's pretty far. It's the same as asking where there's a certain place a circle stops. It doesn't stop. It just goes around and round and round.....etc. East and wsest are opposite directions, and unlike north and south, they never meet they just keep going on and on and on for all eternity.
Ok, with that figured out, let's take a close look at the verse. If you've asked God to forgive your sins, He removes them from you. As far as the east is from the west, so far He removes our sins. In other words they're very literlly GONE.
The second part of the verse says that even as a father loves his children so out heavenly Father loves you and has compassion over you. God loves us and has compassion on us even though we're but sinning frames of dust! What love!
