From the front door I watch
Overlooking the field across the street
I watch as they harvest the crop
I envision a world ready for peace
People living in harmony with each other
Showing love to one another
My heart is filled with joy
But a tear runs down my cheek
For I know its only a vision
As I watch the flowers along the field
Swaying lazily bowing their heads in the breeze
I watch the wood land creatures
As they play amid the trees
With great anticipation I wonder
Will hatred and war ever cease
Can terrorism come to an end
Will evil be banished
Will the sound joy and laughter return
As I stood watching and wondering
I felt the presence of God and knew
That God still has wonders to perform
And the fate of this world still lies in His hands
As I turned to go back inside
A dove above began to coo
And I realized that in every moment of this day
Blessings on His children He bestows.
