It's funny how we live so far from those we're closest to
And we only get together for memories spread & few
A birth, a death, a diploma, a holiday, a marriage, a move
We miss the routine, in lieu of extreme, what are we trying to prove?
Travel is now so easy, opportunities abound
So we pack our bags & head out of town thinking surely someday we'll come back around
Geography's never severed the bound, relationships survive the distance
Or is that just what we tell ourselves as we fight for independence?
It's difficult weighing decisions, the course is rarely clear
At times you're in the backseat, right now we're at the wheel
Lord, protect our steps as we know you lead the way
We pray safekeeping for our families as we trustingly obey

Powerful Inspirational poem. How true we need to ask the Lord to Bless all our Steps and seek His direction or we will miss out in some of Lifes most Beautiful gifts.
