Almighty God and Father, give me more faith in Your majestic power.
Help me Father to stop worrying about not being employed.
Let me spend less time fretting about not having the job I want.
I often desire positions that will pay me more money so that I may
Have more things. Forgive me!
I sometimes feel actual pain when I am in the presence of individuals who have
Great paying jobs with prestige and power. Forgive me this very, very real sin.
I do not covet their job, for I do not wish them ill or less.
I only am anxious for more, so much more. And this is wrong.
It is putting emphasis upon the wrong things.
It exposes my lack of faith and belief in Your goodness and benevolence.
Father, help me to remember how generous You are!
That You have lavished upon me
Good health
Great education opportunities
Life in a great nation
Great friends
Great family members
A great wife
Good children
Clothing for my body
Food to nourish my body
Funds enough to pay my bills
More things than I have room for
Fresh air to breathe
Hands to see to my needs
Feet to get to where I need to go to
That it is Your will that each of us have what he/she needs according to Your knowledge a fine portion though it may appear meager to me.
Help me to realize what my true needs are. And to be thankful. For so long as I trust in You for all of Your benevolence, my unemployment will quickly become employment.
Lord, by Your living example, You honored all work by Your life as a carpenter and interrent minister. Not once did You ever complain about your employment or lack of work. Help me to be the same
