A New Puzzle To Solve

I remember what fun it used to be as a child to put together a jigsaw puzzle; and the older I got, the more pieces came with each one, the difficulty in solving went up with my age.

It was the simplest thing to put together the edges, you just picked out all the ones with flat edges, but then you were left with the entire inside, to put together the pieces to create the picture you desired. It was lots of fun, but could be frustrating too, for the center was not all that easy to solve, but the feeling inside when that last piece went into place was one that is hard to describe.

God gives us each day a new puzzle to solve, a new picture that represents our day - and the edges are easy, the boundaries are clear; this is where we do our work and then we play.

But sometimes the center can be so hard to connect, the pieces just seem never to fit right; and that's where I was before I met you, trying to solve a puzzle without any light.

But then God sent into my life one that would bring me love and set my heart free - He brought us together so we'd fall in love, and together we'd be all that we could be.

Now the puzzle of each day is a new discovery too, an anticipated and longed for delight.... for no matter what we do, we know the picture will be a lovely one seen through love's light.

And the joy is in putting the pieces together, working side by side to see the picture hidden there, and it always has all the colors of love, arranged in a pleasing design with such care.

And no matter how lovely today’s picture turns out, we know tomorrow's will be even better, brand new.... for as each day passes, the love deepens and the picture comes alive, for its all an expression of how much I love you.
