What are we doing? Seriously? What do we see in the mirror? We run around
like tiny ants trying hard to leave our mark or to ge famous quick. We go
to church and sing the songs, lift our hands, shout for joy.... but is it
truly our heart or another social event to try and get noticed. We use
Christ as a reason to parade ourselfs infront of everyone, our tears have
become as fake as those we see on tv. Jesus said to love and help others
but most of the time our first thought is "I" (which is me most of the time)
When did this happen? It happened when we decided that Christ wasn't good
enough for us, that we could handle our lives... but we can't! When you
became saved you said, "Lord, my life is no longer mine but it is yours now.
I no longer need it." So why are you trying to take back what isn't
yours? Just for the next quick buck? Or because you want what everyone
else has? Sure it may feel good now but I tell you the truth the guilt and
shame will eat you alive one day! And what kind of example are we leaving
for the kids looking up to us? In Matthew 18:6 it says, "But if anyone
causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better
for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in
the depths of the sea." Yes Jesus said that... I mean seriously what do
most kids these days? They see us at church half-heartedly singing and not
even caring about the presence of God but we go away and start worshipping
the people we see on tv! What makes the celebrities on tv so holy and
rightous? Did they die for you? Did anyone of them take three nine inch
nails in their body and give up their life just for you? Didn't think
so.... I'm not saying that celebrities are evil or whatever what I'm saying
is that its wrong to worship them like gods. Maybe the sin
your in is fun now but as I said earlier its going to eat you alive some
day.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
