Based on the fact that Jesus changes our lives when we allow Him to, realizing what a mess we have made of it ourselves; with Him in our lives we can do what the poem describes. It's by God's grace that we are changed.
Realization of the mess you've made of life;
Utterly taken in by
Inexcusable persuasive means,
Never thinking that your life would
Access a route
That would take you down
Into
Offensive places that would
Now be totally ruining everything good
........unless you have the desire to change.
Having the desire to change has made you
Operate the will inside you to
Pull yourself up into real
Expectation
......that you can turn your life around.
Retrieving the goodness of your life you had lost;
Experiencing now, the 'ruination' departing which
Sapped your self-worth and self-esteem.
The ability to love yourself has been re-born;
Overcoming a wrecked life.
Recovery is taking place,
Admirably you can hold your head high!
