Parents are endowed with a chore their little ones to give
all that is expected for the little ones to live.
From the day they are born the torch has been lit
with a yearning for learning which won’t easily quit
Parents prepare the foundation on which others will build upon
First steps , first words , the impact moves on
School days approach with cheerful anticipation
ready for the educator to brighten creation
The children approach them from all walks of life
with diverse backgrounds , goals , achievements and strife
Teacher it is your joy that will brighten the light
by transferring your wisdom to those within your sight
Each grade level has its own learning schedule provided
but it is the teacher that imparts the knowledge happily guided
Multitude of thanks to you teacher for leading the way
with fun , sternest , diligence and love to enlighten their day
You accept the young life to help shape and mold
the beauty and duty their young lives will unfold
Perhaps an impression your caring will make
and become a highlight their future will take
Mom and Dad give thanks to God above
for the gift of your teaching you share with your love
Your gift keeps on giving at the end of each year
you part for the summer with a smile and a tear
Next year their torch will move on
a firmer foundation on which others will build upon
So teacher never give up your efforts are needed in life
a special teacher is remembered despite any strife.
May you be blessed in all that you do
your time and your kindness , remember God loves you
It takes a special person to touch heart , mind and soul
