This poem was written as I was on a plane to visit my long distance girlfriend of two years. Naturally it relates the pain and anguish at times of distance while in love.
It grips my heart
The thing desired wonít change, wonít leave
But I fear, or I hope, or I donít know
Desire it so vigorously
Need it so imperatively
That the longer I wait
The better likelihood of vanishment
Please come now
I can take it no more
This anticipation better not kill me
In my waiting for life, waiting for you
