His Child

He looked with love upon His children.

With great tears, He wept as we
made the same heart-wrenching mistakes.

With great sorrow, He felt again and
again the breaking of our spirits.

With great pains, He took the blows
that Satan threw against us.

With three nails, He suffered far worse
so that we could be eternally free.

With great love, he died and rose again
to bring us more than just simple hope.

He looked with love upon His children.

I like the structure of this poem. I think it might be improved by making the last stanza start with "with" instead of he, but that is just an eye thing. :)

James, I think you have captured the heart of God. Great poem, Katia
