Before all else fails………… pray!
How many times have I fallen in a heap and got to the end of my rope only to get to the God Desperate stage of crying help.
Lately I seem to be doomed to forgetting to call at the start of the trouble.
Every time I am at the end and god has rescued my butt from the fire I think “Next Time”.
Next time I am going to call on god, next time I am not going to wait, next time I will remember the lessons learned in the fire.
Only when next time comes I am so full of the problem and so consumed by the situation that I fail yet again.
I could beat myself up about this apparent failing of mine if it weren’t for the bible.
Thank god we have that record of the stuff ups of others and the failings as well as strengths to draw upon.
God never promised anyone an easy ride. But what he did say was that he would never leave us or forsake us.
Isaiah 41:10 says this … “Fear thou not for I am with thee: be not dismayed for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Expect problems as they come to us all but in Jesus we can expect solutions as well.
