I will tell you a story that is true but will mix many stories into one, because there are many that this story tells about. I have added a happy ending, but for most, this happy ending still needs to come.

She started out just like so many others. Dreams of a happy marriage, children to bring her many blessings, and a home that would always be loving and warm.
Then life happened. A marriage, a loss of a partner and children that needed a mother and father.
But the father was gone and there was no man in their lives to fill that void that God had created in the beginning to be filled. So she filled their lives with God and love and managed.
But we are still in this world and a boy needs a man to talk to. It’s not the same when all the women in the house are suffering from their time of the month and are constantly in tears. This is the time when the boys need to get out. A dad or big brother to talk to, to go to the games with, to go to the Boy Scout meetings with, build or fly a model airplane with and so many other things.
So he came into their lives. He heard God’s call to go into the world and be a temple for God to live in, so that God could minister to this boy and his needs. It started out as a service and turned out to be the greatest gift from God, he had ever received. It turned out that he never had a brother and brothers in God truly could be wonderful. A brother or a son was something that he was missing in his life. He showed this boy how loving and dependable that men could be also.
I wish that all of these stories from so many families I know could end this happily.
Are there men out there that are willing to answer this call from God? I can tell you that just from the few families that I know, that the need is great! And the saddest reality is that it is not just in families, where the father is absent physically but is absent spiritually.
Pray to God , make yourself available and watch the wonder of God work through you!
And yes, this can apply to women and girls as well as men and boys! I have a dear friend that has made herself available to many teenage girls and has brought God’s love into a void that is now full. She was blessed with all sons and these girls have been a blessing to her life as well.
The children we have opened our hearts and lives to, have been some of our greatest blessings. God's gifts come in all different packages.
The stories are endless and the possibilities are endless, we just have to be willing to answer His call. Are you willing to leave your safety zone, stop complaining about all the things that are wrong with this world and go and walk with God and do His work?
May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you and keep you always!

Uh huh... and some little girls need to grow up knowing fatherly love as well. As the Lord has filled my life with little children, it hasn't replaced my own loss, but it has helped to fill the voids. It's not that I even expect to be rewarded. I just serve a God who "...is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." We can't truly seek Him and then not love the children as He did. "Let the children come to Me..." Some may not see how not being there as examples of Christ for them is hindering them from coming to Christ, but I see it. I've lived it. It took me years to fully accept that He wasn't either going to abuse me, neglect me, or abandon me altogether. It's all I knew. Sorry to go on and on... sensitive subject for me. Seriously, our Christian men need to get out there and give children the desire to know our LOVING Jesus!
